Kyocera Ecosys M3560idn MFP Preview

Kyocera (Kyocera Document Solutions America) recently launched four affordable, compact Ecosys black-and-white multifunctional printers (MFPs) which include the Kyocera Ecosys M3560idn, the Ecosys M3550idn, the Ecosys M3540idn, and the Ecosys M3040idn. These MFPs are designed for busy corporate workgroups and offer excellent speed and lots of features. All four multifunction printers provide high resolution black-and-white output alongside color scanning capabilities. The interface is guided and controlled by a 7-inch color LCD touchscreen.

The Kyocera Ecosys M3560idn is the fastest of the new models and prints at up to 62 pages per minute (ppm). The Ecosys M3550idn cranks along at 52 ppm, and the Ecosys M3540idn and M3040idn both put out 42 ppm. In addition to high speed output, the Ecosys M3560idn, M3550idn and M3540idn MFPs also include the ability to send and receive faxes.

The Ecosys line gets its name from efforts to be more efficient in the use of consumables and resources. These new desktop models fall right in line and include Kyocera’s patented long-life drum technology which separates the toner container from the drum. This allows users to replace or refill the toner without having to throw away a perfectly good drum in working order. The reduction in consumables and cost are significant when you average that across the country. All of Kyocera’s Ecosys printers also conserve energy by switching into standby mode automatically when they aren’t in use.
