Konica Minolta NSI Output Manager – Managed Print Queues

It’s a fully-integrated print management solution that works well for both office and enterprise environments. What is does is allow companies a convenient and secure way to manage the production, routing, and delivery of all printed information going to a particular machine or set of machines.

The Konica Minolta NSI Output Manager is now available with the company’s bizhub machines. The print queue management software lets customers engage in secure printing so that all output can be accounted for. This is a reliable and managed method for printing sensitive documents in an “on-demand” fashion within an office environment. What the NSi Output Manager does to safeguard confidential information is hold all print requests in a print queue until they are released by a manager (the authorized user). Authentication can either be completed on the front panel of the bizhub MFP via user name and password, or a security card can be used. Once the administrator sets up the rules, Konica Minolta NSI Output Manager determines the types of print jobs that each type of user can send to the device (with or without authorization). It will also recommend a preferred printer based on each job’s page count (and whether it is black and white or color) and even monitors consumable levels and status.

While NSI Output Manager is currently compatible with a number of manufacturers (including Ricoh, Xerox, Canon and HP), the announcement about Konica Minolta bizhub printers and MFP compatibility brings it to a new brand.
